We have been busy the last few weeks, listening to an extraordinary amount of music from across the globe. To try and narrow it down to artists who are independent (and preferably unsigned) takes a lot more time than you think. I too had forgotten how much time is needed.
However, there is beauty in that. Beauty in discovering music from countries whose artists I hadn't even considered listening to before. But that is the joy (for me) of 24:1900. As well as being able to provide some form of platform for us all to enjoy them.
Over the last few days, we have invited approximately 150 artists from around the world to join us for this year's 24:1900. As well as the usual musical outposts (e.g. U.S.A.), invitations have been heading out to places as distinct as Latvia, El Salvador and Uzbekistan, and plenty more.
Over the next few weeks, I hope to finalise our line-up. I will be updating our site members first, so that they can give the artist a listen and some love.
